Registration Questions
Why is the ticket price $500?
The tickets are priced to pay for the venues, banquet, food for everyone during the teaching, and accommodations for those coming from out of town.
Who should I talk to about financial accommodations/sponsorship?
Contact us via our website form to have a conversation.
Why do I sign up with a member of the opposite sex?
Men and women sign up as pairs so that everyone has the opportunity to dance every dance. This is not a prom or about finding a romantic partner by means of the registration process. This is for the honor and enjoyment of the Banquet and Ball by everyone who is attending. Your name will be next to someone else's on a spreadsheet to ensure even gentleman/lady ratios.
How do I sign up with someone when I have no one to sign up with, or when I live far away from everyone else?
Send us an email or fill out the “Contact” page on our website, and we can find a registration partner for you.
Tuxedos and Ballgowns
How do I obtain a tuxedo? How do I know in advance whether a tux will be approved, especially if I'm traveling? Who do I talk to?
Please see the tuxedo page and contact us with your questions.

Food, Travel, and Lodging
I'm traveling in. How do I get food and lodging?
Welcome. We are delighted to have you. We cover food and lodging during the teaching days as part of your ticket if you opt into them specifically on the registration page.
During your times of arrival and departure, plan to provide several meals for yourself and any company that may be traveling with you. Meals before dinner on Thursday, December 31st will not be covered by your ticket.
What do I do if I have dietary restrictions?
There is a space in registration to indicate food restrictions. The Banquet and Ball leadership will do our best to accommodate with vegan and gluten-free options for those who need it.
Please be specific and thorough with allergies, intolerances, lifestyle, and religion-based restrictions. You don’t have to say why not this or that, only what.
I'm from out of the area. I need transportation. How do I get it, and who do I talk to?
Thank you for taking the trip to be present with all of us. Attendees frequently arrive from other states and need transportation. Please fill out the “Contact” page at the top of our website to have the conversation.
Those traveling shall receive emailed travel information as the Banquet and Ball approaches. In the past, members of our team have picked up people from airports, given rides, etc. If you are traveling from out of state and for the best experience, generally plan to arrive one day before the event starts and to leave on either the day after or two days after.
I'm traveling. What do I pack?
We send out a packing list for your convenience as the Banquet and Ball approaches.
Schedule and Experience
If I don’t yet know how to dance, what can I expect in terms of training?
There are several lessons throughout the weekend that will equip you with all the tools you need in order to dance adequately. We will train and practice you in all of the basics and enough of the things that make dancing fun to feel comfortable on the dance floor.
You’re not the only one who’s never danced before or not this way, and everyone who’s been dancing a while remembers that feeling. Several experienced dancers shall be available throughout the weekend to help if you have questions.
You’re in good company, and will have all the tools you need to dance confidently. Don’t worry. We’ve got you, and you’ve got this.
I heard that there is swordfighting or fencing. Is this true?
Yes. The men duel to win the honor of arranging a lady's dance card so they may give her the dances she would enjoy with the people she would enjoy spending time with.
There is adequate PPE provided for this process.

Yes! Please pray a lot for everyone involved and for God’s blessings on this event.
What if I have a question not addressed on this FAQ? What if I have a medical need that prevents me from attending or hinders my participation in the Banquet and Ball? How will my money get refunded if I decide to drop out? What if there is something that prevents me from participating as fully as I’d like?
For our return and cancellation policy, to discuss medical needs, childcare, or for any other questions not answered in the FAQ, please fill out the “Contact” page at the top of our website.
For all cancellations, leadership will need to know with as much advance notice as you are able to give that they would need to find someone to balance out the gentleman/lady ratios from your ticket.
We are happy to have a conversation with you about any questions you may have.
